Thermocouple

A thermocouple is an electrical device. It consists of two dissimilar electrical conductors and forms an electrical connection. This instrument produces a temperature-dependent voltage as a result of the thermoelectric effect. This voltage can be interpreted to measure temperature. Thermometers are a type of temperature sensor that is widely used, usually commercial temperature sensors are cheap and replaceable.
They are supplied with standard fittings and can measure a wide range of temperatures. Unlike most other methods of temperature measurement, thermocouples are self-powered and do not require any form of external stimulation. The main limitation in thermocouples is accuracy. Achieving system errors of less than one degree Celsius (°C) may be difficult.

The construction of these tools is based on a simple mechanism and is produced by connecting a metal according to a certain amount of alloy. This simple mechanism has the ability to measure the desired temperature from zero to 1700 degrees.
Therefore, they can be used to measure the temperature of tankers, tanks, plastic injection industries, food and pharmaceutical industries. The construction of thermocouples in Tehran is done in a completely standard way and based on exact engineering specifications and principles. Due to the special importance and applicability of this tool in various industries, compliance with these standards is particularly important for companies manufacturing thermocouples.

Application of thermocouples in industries
The advantages of using temperature sensors in industry and science are many.
This variety of applications include temperature measurement for furnaces, gas turbine exhaust, diesel engines and other industrial processes.
They are also used in homes, offices and businesses as temperature sensors in thermostats and also as flame sensors in safety devices for gas appliances.
Types of temperature sensors
Generally, thermocouples are classified into six general categories based on their metal and alloy.
K type thermocouple

This type of temperature sensor is one of the most widely used and of course the most economical sensors. It has temperature performance between 250 and 1300 degrees Celsius. Of course, the temperature range varies according to the manufacturer and its appearance. Anti-oxidation is one of the properties of this sensor. This property is due to the presence of copper in its structure. This property is often useful in furnaces where a lot of oxidation occurs.
J type thermocouple

This type of thermometer is made of iron metal along with nickel, copper and constantan alloy. This thermocouple shows a temperature range between 180 and 800 degrees Celsius.
An important point is that when using type J, due to the presence of iron in its structure, there is oxidation or so-called oxidation. So, use it easily in industrial environments and plastic molding industries.
E type thermocouple

This type of thermocouple consists of a pair of nickel chromium-constantane metals. The pair of metals used in this thermocouple consists of a nickel-chromium wire (also known as the hot spot) and a constantan wire (also known as the cold spot).
E-type thermocouple is used in some industries and applications due to its special features, such as high accuracy, fast response and wide temperature range.
T type thermocouple
N type thermocouple
R, S and B type thermocouple
